Have you ever thought what object would you take from your home in case of a fire or earthquake? I mean you have only a couple of seconds, the furniture is falling around you and you are able to save just one thing. What it would be?
At first view I thought about my phone, laptop, wallet or my
favorite perfume but were those really the most important things for me? When I’ve
looked more closely I realized that I could
get one of this in just a second, but
then what is the most important thing for me that I should save? After a few minutes of thinking I found my
answer: my old family’s photos that I have on a shelf in my room. These are the
only thing that maintain your memory of those moments alive, and that just for
a few moments make you relive that
amazing winks . It happened to me so many times to look at a photo, close my eyes and for a few moments to feel that I am there, that everything is real and
no one can contest…but it was just a remembrance of what once it used to
be my life! So… wouldn’t be a pity to lose
all these just to save something material that eventually at some point you will throw away anyway?
My point is that your happiness should not rely only on
materials things that come and go, but on that things that no one can take it
away from you like memories and in bad moments of your life photographs are
those who remind you of that beautiful moments and make you keep your head up
and see the light from the end of the tunnel.
I am really curios what would you chose to save so let me know it the comments below!
Xoxo Mariboo!
Lately I have been keeping all my photos in my phone so I guess that I would take my phone for saving those photos. Although I like your post and I get your idea, I don't depend on photos because every night when I close my eyes, I can still remember the most amazing memories I have and I do relive them in my mind. I keep them so tight in my head that no one can take them away from me. So, I do like photos for making a house more like home but if I had to take one thing in case of emergency, I would take my map of documents (here spoke the practical me).
ReplyDeleteYes you are right the thing that i chose was from my point of view but i don't think that i can keep in my mobile phone photos since i was let's say 2-3 years old. Also the map of documents is e very good answer:)).
